Jibber Jabber

The world is not chaotic- it just is. Our minds are chaotic.

The mind can never conquer the mind. That is impossible.

We are all eternal. We just don’t always remember that.

Meditation cools us so we can stand in the fire of anxiety.

Thinking ‘this should not be so’ is the source of all pain.

Your life is only one moment: now.

Three things bring discontent: not getting what you want, getting what you don’t want, and getting what you want (the mind is never content).

Open the door to great your thoughts, however you don’t have to invite them in for tea.

The mind wants to control what it cannot.

As you transition from unaware to aware, you don’t have to beat yourself up for having been unaware.

Meditation is simply watching what is there.

You can get what you want only after you get enough of what you don’t want.

Meditation is a way to get to know your soul, to flex your awareness muscle.

You are an unopen book. Open the book and observe, instead of identifying with, the mind.

Be in the world and learn how to weave meditation into your life.

Learning to meditate is like learning to be a tight rope walker: start low and fall off. It will become a joy as you stick with it.

Let your body be your anchor. If you hear a sound, include it.

There are more than 7 billion meditation techniques (one for each person).

We are all sitting on a volcano of emotions and feelings: play without erupting.

When we like something, we give it power. Ask yourself what good the object of your liking gives you.

There is always more going right than there is going wrong.

Never obey anyone’s command unless it is coming from within you also.

Love is prayer.

Do not swim: float.

Truth is within you. Do not search for it elsewhere.

Sex is the seed, love is the flower, compassion is the fragrance.

We are not in love, we are love.

Enlightenment is the understanding that this is all, this is perfect, this is it. Enlightenment is not an achievement, it is an understanding that there is nothing to achieve, no where to go.

Love is a state of being, not a relationship
