Four Seasons
We caught Autumn’s fire
Burned ourselves with desire
Winter left our hearts charred
Smashed on the ground in splintered shards
Slowly the Sun remembered the Earth
As she thawed, there was rebirth
Now raucous Summer has arrived
Life rejoices as it thrives
I wish you knew the sacred role you played,
How Winter is vital to a Summer’s day.
Though they are separated by time,
Each season sings a verse in the other’s rhyme.
